I've been working on these playlists for some years now. It's hard to categorize an artist like Jay... but, real ones know that there are layers to this legend.
So I broke it down to a number of categories:
Eras, Content, Flows & Mindset.

YOUNG HOVA: Storytelling based on his younger rap days, Marcy project lifestule and experience and a hunger that you can feel. Reflective of a young Jay. (Spotify is missing Brooklyn Go Hard, From Marcy to Hollywood and 96 Stretch and Bob Freestyle). Youtube playlist has the ORIGINAL "In My Lifetime". I actually like that version better
